Data Deletion Instructions
WiseWallet gives you complete control over your data. You can delete your financial data or your entire account directly from the app settings.

Step-by-Step Instructions
Option 1: Delete Financial Data Only
- Open WiseWallet app on your mobile device
- Navigate to Settings
- Tap the menu icon (☰) or profile icon
- Select "Settings" or "Account Settings"
- Find Data Management section
- Scroll to "Data & Privacy" or similar section
- Select "Delete Financial Data"
- This option removes all transactions, budgets, and bills
- Your account remains active
- Confirm deletion
- Read the warning message carefully
- Confirm that you want to delete your financial data
- Enter confirmation if required
- Data deleted immediately
- All financial data is permanently removed
- You can start using the app immediately with a clean slate
Option 2: Delete Entire Account
- Open WiseWallet app on your mobile device
- Navigate to Settings
- Tap the menu icon (☰) or profile icon
- Select "Settings" or "Account Settings"
- Find Account Management section
- Scroll to "Account" or "Delete Account" section
- Usually located at the bottom of settings
- Select "Delete Account"
- This removes your entire account permanently
- All data will be deleted
- Review what will be deleted
- Account information
- All financial data (transactions, budgets, bills)
- All transaction attachments (images, PDFs)
- All app settings and preferences
- Confirm account deletion
- Read the final warning carefully
- You may need to re-authenticate for security
- Confirm that you understand this is permanent
- Enter confirmation if required
- Account deleted immediately
- Your account and all data are permanently removed
- You will be logged out of the app
- You must create a new account to use WiseWallet again
Important Information
⚠️ Deletion is Immediate & Permanent
When you delete data or your account, it is removed immediately from our systems. We do not keep backups after deletion. This action cannot be undone.
🔒 Security Verification
For your security, you may be asked to re-enter your password before deleting your account. This ensures that only you can delete your data.
📁 What Gets Deleted
When you delete data or your account, we permanently remove:
- All transaction records
- All budget and financial cycle data
- All bills and scheduled payments
- All transaction attachments (images, PDFs)
- All account information (for full account deletion)
- All app settings and preferences (for full account deletion)
⏱️ No Retention Period
Unlike some services, we do not retain your data for any grace period after deletion. Once deleted, it's gone forever.
📤 Export Your Data First
If you want to keep a copy of your data before deletion, please contact us at hello@wisewallet.app to request a data export before proceeding with deletion.
