This Privacy Policy explains how Ashfaq Ahmed ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use the WiseWallet mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring the security of your financial data.
Information We Collect
Account Information
When you create an account, we collect:
- Email address (used for Firebase Authentication)
- Authentication credentials (securely managed by Firebase Auth)
- Profile information you choose to provide
Financial Data
To provide our budgeting and financial management services, we store:
- Transaction records (amounts, dates, categories, descriptions)
- Account information (names, types, balances)
- Budget information (cycle periods, amounts, categories)
- Bills and scheduled payment data
- Financial cycle configurations
- Transaction attachments (receipts, invoices, images, PDFs you choose to upload)
Device and Usage Information
We automatically collect:
- Device information (device model, operating system, unique device identifiers)
- App usage analytics (via Firebase Analytics)
- Crash reports and performance data (to improve app stability)
Camera and Photo Library Access
If you choose to attach receipts or documents to transactions, we request permission to access:
- Camera (to capture photos of receipts)
- Photo library/gallery (to select existing images or documents)
These permissions are only used when you explicitly choose to add attachments. You can download these attachments within the app for your records.
Payment and Subscription Information
If you subscribe to WiseWallet Pro:
- Payment Information: We do NOT collect or store your payment card details, billing address, or other payment information. All payment processing is handled securely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store)
- Subscription Status: We store your subscription status (active, expired, canceled) to determine which features you can access
- Purchase Receipts: We may verify purchase receipts with Apple or Google to validate your subscription
- Transaction IDs: Anonymous transaction identifiers from the app stores for subscription management
Your payment information is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy or Google's Privacy Policy, depending on your platform.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information exclusively for providing and improving the Service:
- To maintain your account and authenticate your identity
- To provide budget tracking and financial management features
- To generate personalized financial insights using Gemini AI
- To power the AI Assistant for natural language transaction management
- To store and retrieve transaction attachments you upload
- To send important service notifications (bill reminders, budget alerts)
- To verify and manage your WiseWallet Pro subscription status
- To provide Pro features to active subscribers
- To analyze app usage and improve performance (via Firebase Analytics)
- To identify and fix bugs and technical issues
Third-Party Services
We use the following trusted third-party services to operate WiseWallet:
Firebase (Google)
- Firebase Authentication: Manages user accounts and login security
- Cloud Firestore: Stores your financial data, transactions, and settings
- Firebase Analytics: Collects anonymized usage statistics
- Firebase Storage: Stores transaction attachments (images, PDFs)
Firebase services are governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
Gemini AI (Google)
We use Google's Gemini AI to provide:
- Intelligent financial insights and spending pattern analysis
- Natural language processing for the AI Assistant feature
When you use AI features, relevant financial data is processed by Gemini AI. This data is used solely to generate insights and is not stored permanently by Google for other purposes.
Apple App Store and Google Play Store
If you subscribe to WiseWallet Pro, payment processing is handled by:
- Apple App Store: For iOS users, governed by Apple's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service
- Google Play Store: For Android users, governed by Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service
These platforms collect and process:
- Payment information (credit card, billing address)
- Purchase history and transaction records
- Subscription status and renewal information
- Device and account information
We receive limited information from these platforms (such as subscription status and anonymous transaction IDs) to provide you with Pro features. We do not have access to your payment card details or billing information.
Data Security
We take data security seriously and implement industry-standard measures:
- All data transmission is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS
- Data at rest is encrypted in Firebase's secure infrastructure
- Firebase Authentication provides secure user authentication
- Access to your data is protected by your account credentials
- We follow Firebase security best practices and rules
However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Data Retention and Deletion
You have full control over your data:
- Financial Data Only: You can delete all financial data (transactions, budgets, bills) for a fresh start while keeping your account active
- Complete Account Deletion: You can permanently delete your entire account, including all personal and financial data
Both options are available in the app settings. When you delete data:
- Deletion is immediate and permanent
- We do not retain backup copies after deletion
- Transaction attachments (images, PDFs) are also deleted
- If you delete your account, you will need to register again to use the app

Your Rights
You have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access: View all your data within the app
- Correction: Edit your financial records and account information
- Deletion: Delete specific data or your entire account
- Export: Request a copy of your data by contacting us
- Portability: Take your data with you if you stop using the service
Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes. Your financial data is private and is only:
- Stored securely in Firebase (Google Cloud)
- Processed by Gemini AI when you use AI features
- Accessed by you through the app
We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, but we will notify you whenever legally possible.
Children's Privacy
WiseWallet is not intended for users under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.
International Data Transfers
Your data may be stored and processed in any country where Firebase (Google Cloud) operates. By using WiseWallet, you consent to the transfer of your data to these locations. We ensure that adequate safeguards are in place, as required by applicable data protection laws.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by:
- Updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy
- Sending a notification through the app (for material changes)
- Posting a notice on our website
Your continued use of WiseWallet after changes indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
